"We choose to do God's work and The Children's Home has done a great job at helping us through our fostering journey. We can't let our fear stand in the way of helping a child."
~The Chamber's Family (GBCH&FM Foster Family)
Georgia Baptist Children's Home has launched our private, faith-based foster care program Bright - Shining a Light on Foster Care - to answer our community's need for more quality foster families to care for vulnerable children.
In addition to the children we serve through our residential program, The Children Home's ministry extends to private families who welcome children, ages birth to 18, into their home while they are in foster care.
The goal of Bright Foster Care is to recruit and train adults who will offer homes where children can have a safe and loving place to call home.
We are currently recruiting foster families to participate in our foster care program. Call us today to find out how you can make a difference in the life of a child!

Foster Parents/Mentors/Volunteers Urgently Needed for Teenagers in Foster Care:
Imagine being a teenager who has been taken from your home and can't be placed with a family in a home setting simply because of your age. As you navigate the peer pressure and challenges of high school, you can't even invite your friends over to your home to hang out because you live in a group home or institutional setting. Sadly, this is the reality for many teenagers in foster care, simply because there are not enough foster homes willing to take teenagers. Right now, there are hundreds of teenagers in out of home care throughout Georgia who are in desperate need of loving, patient foster parents who will commit to caring for them and helping them to achieve their dreams as they grow into adulthood.
Feel like you could commit a few years to fostering a child that would allow you to change one life forever?
Fostering a teenager could be the perfect fit for you. If you are not able to take the step to foster at this point in your life, are you able to become a mentor for a teenager in foster care to provide support, job assistance, and life skills.
If you can't commit ongoing to mentorship, are you able to volunteer on a one-time basis for our Room Makeover Program for teenagers, to help paint/decorate/design a bedroom in the foster home just for them, so they can feel a sense of connection and belonging in the foster home.
We have many opportunities right now that can give you the chance to make a difference for the youth that truly are OUR TOMORROW!
